29.07.2022

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) received a generous donation of HK$200,000 from the Renshan Fortune Charity Association in support of the Elderly Academy to offer courses for the elderly. These courses aim to encourage continuous learning, by which elders gain knowledge and expand their social circles to improve physical and mental health, and cultivate a sense of self-worthiness.

Mr Li Hexie and Mr Cheng Ahpeng, Vice Chairmen of Renshan Fortune Charity Association, led a delegation to EdUHK on 29 July 2022 to attend the cheque presentation ceremony. Professor John Lee Chi-kin, Vice President (Academic) and Provost, welcomed the delegation and extended sincere gratitude to the Association for trusting and supporting the Elder Academy, before Mr Li Hexie shared the founding background and core services of the Association. The parties discussed possible future collaborations in addition to the cheque presentation. During a tour of the campus, the delegation visited the Future Classrooms located at the Mong Man Wai Library, where they were introduced to how the latest technologies are being applied to enhance teaching capabilities.
